Name: Jackson Emery Schrade Also Known As: Jack Birthdate: March 13th Current Age: 25 Turning in 2011: 26 Sexuality: Straight Status: Let me fill these empty spaces. Better late than never; stay forever. ( 2.16.2010 ) Siblings: Baby Brother Jeff ( Deceased, Aged 8 years ) Parents: Virginia ( Deceased ) & Bryan Schrade ( Not in contact anymore. ) Born & Raised: San Fransisco, California Currently Living In: West Chester, Pennsylvania Occupation: Musician, Writer, Producer, Student.
• Jackson started his life out in a home of himself and two parents in San Fransisco, California. Two years later he found himself with a little brother, Jeff, who soon became quite close to him as the years went by.
• Growing up, things were pretty tough but his mother Virginia, who was a complete angel, tried to keep things good for he and Jeff but their father Bryan was a bit of a gambler and alcoholic who squandered a lot of their money, drank to forget and took it out on them later in the evenings.
• Even at a very young age, Jackson had a glowing love for music and all things musical. Singing, instruments, etc. You name it, he loved it. He didn't get to do much of it after a certain point in life.
• His little brother was diagnosed with a cancer in his kidneys that spread quickly and killed him off. He was only eight years old. His father took out his little brother's death on him and his mother eventually hitting his mother so hard that she too died. His father was quick to cover up what happened and the autopsy simply reflected that it was 'natural causes' and others say she must have died of a broken heart. Jackson knew the truth but he didn't say a word in fear that he'd get it as well.
• He became very angry inside during his teenage years because of his mother's passing. As a child, he was promised by his mother that she would never leave him and while that choice was out of her hands, he still was upset over it and began living a bit of a dangerous life. He picked up drinking at the end of middle school and drugs as well going into high school. All of this stemming from such a disappointing part of his life.
• Jackson dropped out of High School at the age of sixteen. He felt like he wasn't smart enough to do any of that work and he'd be fine on his own. By on his own, he meant by himself and he ran away from his father and from home. His destination? Los Angeles, California. He was determined to get there by hook or crook and start a new life with a clean slate and do the one thing he had left and loved. Make music.
• While in Los Angeles, Jackson found himself in a lot of tight situations, living day by day and week by week. He had to do this because all the money he had left was more or less coming from his savings which barely had much of anything. He soon found a savior in a young man that was much like him masekel and the two made a brotherly like bond.
• The two eventually formed a band and began making their own music, playing a few gigs here and there with friends of masekel. The band never had an official name. They just played music and made money. The dream was still there. All the while, masekel managed to get Jackson off the drinking and hard drugs to focus on the music.
• A talent scout caught wind of their music and wanted to sign them. Being young men eager to break out and get into the big picture of the music industry, they immediately signed, naive about the entire thing. Unfortunately that endeavor sucked them dry of all of their money and they got absolutely nowhere. The only good that came of it was the real life recording and experience of a full length album. Jackson still has copies in his attic to this day.
• The boys managed to sue this 'talent scout' for more or less stealing their money and duping them out of a real contract. They eventually won after a few months of the case being debated and got compensated for all that money they had lost and a bit more. After this trial, the band tried to shell out their album to different record labels but no one seemed to be biting. Two of the band members decided to part ways with the band and left masekel and Jackson back to square one.
• In a random miracle of sorts, Jackson was contacted by the representatives of the band Bowling for Soup. They had gotten a hold of one of the copies of the ill fated debut CD and Bowling for Soup wanted to work with Jackson on song writing. Jackson investigated this matter thoroughly first and eventually signed on to work with Bowling For Soup and wrote one of their hits, "1985" which hit big.
• Today, Jackson works with a bunch of musical artists, writing and producing songs for them. His biggest inspiration are bands from the eighties, namely bands like Guns N Roses and Primal Scream. He's also been known to sport a Cheap Trick t-shirt. He's very eclectic and writes rock and pop-rock songs. His heart is where the music is and to get away from the noise of California, he moved to West Chester, Pennsylvania to get some peace and quiet, but still work and his friend Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup encouraged him to return to school and get his diploma saying he owed it to himself to at least do that. So he's there.
• If he looks like he's older than most of the senior class at West Chester East, it's because he is. He's twenty four years of age right now and he discussed with their principal how he was going to get his diploma. They agreed to a system of taking classes where he needed credits the most and he would graduate with the class of 2010. He attends school just like a normal student. Just more matured.
• A lot of his musical material for the band that never was, was written mostly out of experience that Jackson had in his life. Pain, sorrow, etc. He also had a bat shit crazy girlfriend during his time with masekel and that's a huge source of his musical material.
